Having finished the Laura Lemay book, a number of quick fire chapters followed for the folks at Sams.net. By the time that these had started, the final VRML 2.0 specification was out and we were starting to get some reasonably complete browsers.
Another in the Unleashed series from Sams.net. This time the chapters are devoted to introducing VRML itself to newbies. A very cut down intro of both the browsing/editing environments and the language itself, they provide a taster for people who really want to do something nifty with thier web pages. Like the rest of the Web Pub book, the general idea of these chapters was to get the user to purchase a dedicated VRML book if they were interested in knowing more about the topic.
The difference with this book over the others, was that it was a "Professional Reference Edition" which basically meant it had a few hundred more pages, hardcover and dearer price tag. A number of extra topics - of which VRML was one - were introduced in brief in this edition. This means that in the standard series book you would not see my chapters.
Since it was originally published, Sams have never got back to me to update the chapters. Since I live in Australia where we don't see as many of the titles as the US, I don't know whether the title even exists anymore.
